How far ahead should I order for Christmas?
As early as you comfortably can. The artwork itself is ready in about a minute. Prints are made to order — usually 2–5 business days to make, then 3–4 business days to ship within the US, so most orders arrive in about one to two weeks. Checkout shows the estimated arrival window for your address before you pay. Shipping is free within the US. We can't promise an exact delivery date, so building in a buffer before the day itself is the safe move. The digital file, if you buy it instead of a print, is available immediately.
What photo makes a good Christmas gift piece?
A photo of the person, a pet, or a place that means something to whoever's receiving it — a parent, a grandparent, a couple, a family photo, a childhood home. Clear and well-lit beats posed; an old scanned print works just as well as something from your phone.
Can it ship straight to them, or do I need to receive it first?
Either works. Checkout collects the shipping address, so you can send it straight to them at a US address. Tick “This is a gift” at checkout to add a note — it’s printed on the packing slip, and no prices appear on the slip either way. If you’d rather hand it over yourself, ship it to you.
What can I have it painted as?
Watercolor, oil, charcoal, or describe your own — a style, a mood, or just a feeling you want it to have. There's no menu to pick from; plain words work.
Can I see it before I pay?
Yes. Uploading a photo, generating the piece, and previewing it on a wall are all free and need no account. You only pay if you decide to order a print or buy the digital file — so you know exactly what's arriving before you commit to it as someone's gift.
Is it AI-generated?
Yes. Your photo and your instructions guide an AI image model, and the result is finished at high resolution for printing. We say so everywhere we sell, because you should know what you're giving.
