The one that ended up on the fridge. Unposed group photos usually paint better than arranged ones.
A reunion, or the last time everyone was together
A single frame with everyone in it is worth more as a painting than four separate portraits.

Scanned or photographed. Grain and fading are the qualities painting styles handle most forgivingly.

Questions
How many people can be in the photo?
Groups work. Faces stay recognisable in most group shots, though the more people in frame the smaller each face is in the final piece — so a wider print size suits a large group better than a small one.
Can you combine two photos into one painting?
No. Each piece is made from a single photograph. Combining people from separate photos is compositing, which is a different job from what this does.
Can I see it before I pay anything?
Yes. Uploading, generating, and previewing it on a wall are free with no account. You pay only if you order a print or buy the file.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It's used to create your piece and nothing else — never displayed, published, or sold. Email hello@vistelastudio.com to have it deleted.
What size works for a family piece?
For a group, bigger genuinely reads better: 18″×24″ upward keeps individual faces legible. A framed canvas arrives ready to hang inside a pine floating frame.
Is the artwork AI-generated?
